Hello Everyone
Well our fundraising is over and all the hard work has paid off. Most of you will already know about about the many fundraising activities the team dreamed up to raise funds towards our trip to Nepal.
And we did so well! $21,000 was raised in total. What an amazing result! The team was blown away when we received this great news. It just goes to show what tenacity, determination and of course an awesome cause, can achieve.
We couldn't have reached this fantastic amount - far beyond our original expectations - without the generous donations from so many people and we thank every single one of you. In particular our families, friends and workmates - your support has been so brilliant. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
We're now into our final days at work before heading off on Friday afternoon. For many of us, we've packed, repacked and packed again, making sure we're only taking essentials - easier for some than others! I'm not sure Jason's got his shoe dilemma sorted out yet but I'm betting he'll toss in a pair of runners at the 11th hour and hope for the best! And, of course we're all hoping the Maltese Sparrow gets over his "drugs in Singapore" problem while we have our stop there!!! Ha! Sort of an "in-team" joke.
We're really looking forward to our new build site outside of Pokhara and have been told we're to build two homes! Thank goodness some of us have tried to keep fit ... don't know how the rest of 'em will go! Time will tell no doubt, but one things a certainty, we'll each be putting 110% into every day in an effort to finish both homes for our Nepalese friends.
Once again, thank you everyone for your overwhelming support, love and friendship. Keep a track of us on this site and we look forward to returning home with fantastic stories of our build with the Nepalese Habitat for Humanity crew and home owners.
Warm Regards
Christine

Hello Team, A note to wish you all the best of luck on your build in Nepal. I spent a month in Pokhara many years ago and absolutely loved it. Believe me, you will see there are "rocks in the sky" over Phewa Tal. I will follow this Blog with great interest. Namaste! Wendy
